CREATOR OF DBZ >>>>>AKIRA TORIYAMA

The genius and creator behind Dragonball and Dragonball Z, Akira Toriyama has helped create over 20 different Anime/Mangas. Here you can find all about who this man is and all about his different anime/mangas.

How Akira Got Started:
Akira Toriyama wanted to become an artist. He studied art in high school, and by 1977, he got a job at one of the biggest and well known Manga publishers in Japan known as Shueisha. In 1978, he started a Manga called “ Wonder Island”. It wasn’t a big success, but gave him more confidence in his work. His next piece of work was called “Dr. Slump”, which was a huge success. His most famous piece of work however, is the “Dragonball” series, which is also explained on this page.

Akira Toriyama Timeline:

» 1979 = Created Manga Highlight Island
» 1980 = Toriyama's first Big Hit, Dr. Slump
» 1985 = Started the Dragonball Mangas
» 1995 = Akira Ends Dragonball Z

After Dragonaball Z had ended, TOEI Animation asked permission from Toriyama to continue the Dragonball trilogy with a new series called Dragonball GT. This new series aired in Japan from 1996 to 1997, and was no where near as successful. Toriyama was not directly involved with Dragonball GT, but he did supervise the development. As Toriyama's success grew he decided to open up his own studio know as Bird Studios where he was able to publish many more of his other stories and comics.

He also enjoys playing video games, and even did the art work for the well known game “Chrono Trigger” for the SNES, as well as other games.

________________________INTERVIEW WITH AKIRA_______________________

Q: What are some of your artistic influences?

A: I was an avid anime watcher until I was about 10, when I moved to manga. I think I am influenced by Osamu Tezuka's and Walt Disney's works which I watched during that time, such as Tetswan Atom ("Astro Boy") and 101 Dalmations.

Q: How did you become a manga artist?
A: I submitted a story to a monthly contest for amateur artists in Weekly Shonen Jump. It didn't win, but afterwards, I was approached by one of the editors [Kzuhiko Torishima, now Weekly Shonen Jump Senior Director], and after I studied for about a year, I became a pro.

Q: You have an incredible ability to draw anything in the world in your own distinct personal style. Do you often use reference material to draw different objects, places, or things?
A: I almost never use reference material for places, but for objects-for example, if there's a particular model of car that I like-I'll use a book as a reference to draw from.

Q: What kind of drawing material did you use on Dragon Ball? What drawing material do you work with today?
A: I'm not sure if these particular brands are available in the USA, but on Dragon Ball I used G-pens [a type of quill pen], Kent paper [A Bristol board-like paper made in Japan], water-proof ink, and color inks for coloring. Today I use a Macintosh for coloring.

Q: I've heard that you are re-coloring, possibly even re-drawing, parts of Dragon Ball for a "Perfect Edition." What is it like to draw Goku and Co. for the first time in a long while?
A: I haven't redrawn any of the actual manga, because then I'd start getting nit-picky about everything. Just new cover art. To draw it again for the first time in so long produced a very complicated mix of emotions, combining nostalgia with the feeling that I don't want to draw Dragon Ball anymore.

Q: Dragon Ball has been translated into many different languages around the world, and seems to have an extremely universal appeal. How do you feel about it being translated into more and more languages?
A: Of course it makes me feel very happy, but I'm still trying to live like I always have, without really thinking about it.

Q: What new projects or manga are you working on currently?
A: Right now, I've taken a step away from manga, and am studying things that I've always wanted to do, such as design and book illustration.

Q: What message would you like to give to your American fans?
A: That people in faraway America are fans of Dragon Ball truly makes me happy. The method of producing comics in Japan is very hectic, but it's also rewarding because it's possibly to do both the story and art all by yourself. In this way, it's possibly to bring out one's individuality. If this idea appeals to you, I call on you to try drawing your own manga. Because the people who can draw manga that Americans will truly love are Americans like you.

Q: From 1984 to 1995 what was your work schedule like on Dragon Ball?
A: The majority of the manga in Japan are drawn in the shukan (weekly) format, so I was drawing one episode every week. [Approximately 14 pages, plus a Title Page-Editor] But for me this pace was very hard, and I really didn't like it.

Q: Dragon Ball developed from a comedy series to an action/fighting series. Do you feel that your art style changed in the process?
A: I wasn't particularly conscious about it, but my art style did change depending on the circumstances. But when It comes down to it, more than anything, I like drawing really silly, absurd comedies.

Q: I've heard that many plot developments in Dragon Ball were influenced by letters from readers, is this true, and if so, can you give us a concrete example?
A: Parts of it were, yes, for example, take Vegeta when he first appeared as a bad guy, but because he became very popular, he stayed in the series from that point on.

Q: Dragon Ball seems to have influenced many video games and manga. Where did you get the idea for the attacks that appear in Dragon Ball, such as the kamehameha and the whole chi power?
A: Chi [Also spelled "Ki"-Editor] has been used in China since ancient times, but it's supposed to be formless and invisible. However, in manga, in order to make it easier for any reader to grasp, it was necessary to give it a shape. For the kamehameha, I myself did a lot of the different poses and chose the one that I thought would work the best.

Q: I have heard that your are a fan of Jackie Chan. Out of all Jackie Chan's movies, which is your favorite.
A: Drunken Master (the first one). If I hadn't seen this
movie, I would never have come up with Dragon ball.

Q: Are you're a fan of pro wrestling? I ask because in Dragon Ball, there are some wrestling-style characters like Mister Satan.
A: Unfortunately, I'm not really a fan of pro wrestling.

Q: What are your hobbies? How do you spend your spare time?
A: Actually, I have a lot of hobbies, but I've kept up with model-building the longest. In particular, I love military models.

Q: I hear that Dragon Ball was inspired particularly by a trip to China. Out of all the places you've been, which are particularly memorable? Do you do much sketching when you travel?
A: I've been to many places, but Australia, with what I felt was a pleasant balance between its cities and its magnificent natural spaces, moved me very much. I don't sketch anything in particular on my trips

DRAGON BALL GT & AF

>>>>>>>>>>DRAGON BALL GT<<<<<<<<<<<<<
What is Dragonball GT? The Sequel to Dragonball Z, DBGT shows the adventures of Goku (Who is now a kid again), Pan, and Trunks. However, these adventures are not happening on Earth, but actually throughout the entire galaxy, in search of a new set of Dragon balls, called the Black Star Dragon Balls. Dragonball GT was not directly made by Akira Toriyama, like Dragonball and Dragonball Z, but by TOEI Animation. A new level of Super Saiyan is introduced in this series, and can be seen in the picture above. The series spans 64 episodes, and the GT stands for Grand Tour.

>>>>>>>>DRAGON BALL AF<<<<<

What is Dragonball AF? Dragonball AF is supposedly a new Dragonball series being developed in Japan. However, FUNimation wants fans to know from the official source that Dragonball GT is the last series and neither AF nor V exist. As far as we know, and Toei has confirmed this matter, there are no future plans for any continuance of the Dragonball series beyond GT. But we have heard from multiple people that Fans are making a comic called Dragonball AF and FUNimation or Toei has nothing to do with it. Whether or not it really exists or ever will, it's still fun to think about, because of this I've compiled several sections for your enjoyment.

Dragonball AF Story Line - In Dragon Ball AF Raditz is back as a Super Saiyan even goes SSJ 3, Frieza and Cooler fuse, Cell absorbs Android 8, Goku goes Super Saiyan level 5 and then 6 also Goku learns how to fuse with 3 people. The AF is supposed to stand for either After Future, Alternate Future, or Another Future (or Absolutely Fictional!)

_______________________________________________________________

I told you about the basics on the previous page and now we'll go into the detail of Dragonball AF.

DBAF takes place around 120 years after the Frieza Saga. At this time Goku is off going from planet to planet training and he comes across one planet which looks absolutely beautiful, he goes onto this planet for training and finds that all the people there look perfect, and also the gravity is 1000 times that of earths so he figures its ideal for training for a little while. He also meets this stunningly beautiful woman there who try's to seduce Goku however Goku resists because of his heart belonging to Chi-chi, she senses this but makes love to him in his dreams. Shortly after Goku leaves the planet and as he leaves, the planet turns into silver and it disappears totally as well as everyone who inhabited it! Since the woman was a god and created a perfect illusion for Goku she also sensed how powerful he was, she wanted to have his baby and create the ultimate being. Anyway around 120 years later she gives birth to a child named Xicer who is naturally born as a super Saiyan 5 and is 1 year old, since he is half god and half Saiyan he is the ultimate being however he is pretty much useless as he needs to be trained by someone great, his father obviously, Goku, so he goes off in search of his real father to be trained by him and become the greatest warrior in the universe from which his mother wants him to be.

More information about Dragonball AF.
300 years ago goku ,gohan died but where considered ultimate ancestors because of there power levels, goten was still live and well cause him and trunks where equal strength and granted eternal life from dende. They had all seven dragonballs plus the alfa ball. for a while and soon decided to wish back Goku, Gohan Vegeta Andriod 16 And Shella(trunks daughter) they do that but then a dude called boronks comes(ally like vegeta) and is angry he didn't get his wish to be the strongest ever! So then he fights goku and goku gets pounded and was on the verge of dieing again but gotten level 5 gets angry(as he does) and fuses with goten level 5 and creates Gotenks(the dude with red hair) level 5 and takes on boronks but also gets a pounding but eventully get the fusion earrings from dende and fuses also with gohan level 5 (the new created airings allows up to 3 fuses!) and creates hantenks-the ultimate version and gives boronks a pounding, then they take the airings off and calm down the talk to boronks and then eventually decide to become allies (boronks is still pretty dodgey!, like vegeta).

Here are a bunch of rumors:
1. There are 6 super saiyan levels
2. New fusion earrings wear created (fusion with up to 3 people!)
3. Goten has had a new born baby!
4. Boronks is a huge guy bigger than brolly he is a SSJ3 and is anxious to be stronger than Ancestor Goku SSJ5 but Goku still has level 6!
5. Everyone fuses and become gohnvegpandenpicclhurclegotentrunktenks.
6. Nothing is in product
ion, and nothing is planned. There is no Dragonball AF. Most rumors of a new series come from fan manga drawn in Japan, otherwise known as "doujinshi." Generally, these comics are very well-drawn, and can easily be mistaken for Toriyama's work. However, they are fan-made, and are not considered a part of the DB universe.
7. It's a Spanish comic book they are making a cartoon version for the US
8. Vegeta and Trunks Fuse
8. Gotenks goes SSJ4,
9. Gohan becomes another form of Mystic Saiyan.
10. Goku has the power of the dragonballs and can grant wishes like the Dragon.
11. Goku reaches Super Saiyan level 5 The power he receives is too much for him, and he becomes the bad guy. In DBAF Vegeta gets to play the good guy trying to stop "the evil Goku".
13. They will be making around 250 episodes.
14. In DBAF Vegeta goes ssj5 and 6 and becomes the strongest.
15. DBAF is in Portugal, Italy and in Japan.

ALL ABOUT SAIYANS

>>>>>SAIYAN HOSTORY<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Long ago there was a planet called planet Plant, which was occupied by two races: the Saiyans and the Tuffles. The Tuffles were an advanced race with big cities and highly-developed technology. The Saiyans were strong savages who lived in wastelands attacking the Tuffles at times. Because of the Tuffles great technology, they were able to fight against the naturally strong Saiyans when needed.

Then one day, the Saiyans banded together and attempted to overtake the planet. The war raged on for many years without anyone clearly having the advantage. Advanced weaponry took on brute strength resulting in a stalemate; that is until a full moon appeared. If a Saiyan looks at the full moon, they transform into a giant ape-like state called Oozaru. In this form their already great power grows tenfold. Luckily for the Tuffles, this event happens only once every seven or eight years. After this transformation had occurred, the Saiyans easily crushed the Tuffles out of existence. From then on the planet was called Planet Vegeta, named after the Saiyans ruler King Vegeta.

But there was a problem. With their arch-nemeses gone, they had no one to fight but each other. Soon they met a race called the Arconians. These are people responsible for supplying the Saiyans with the technology they are so famous for using. In return for this technology the Saiyans would conquer planets for the Arconians, who worked for a being named Frieza.

Lord Frieza was known as the strongest and most powerful being in the universe. He enslaved entire races, and forced them to do his bidding or be destroyed. When Frieza found out about the Saiyans, he saw their enormous power and used them as mercenaries to take over other planets for him. All Saiyans belong to special classes, which is passed down by blood types. When a lower class Saiyan is born, they are sent away to other planets, programmed to take it over when they get strong enough. Because of the ability to transform into an Oozaru, this usually didn't take very long. Saiyans with the higher classes are kept on Planet Vegeta for more direct use.

One day, Frieza summoned Prince Vegeta who was around five years old at the time, and sent him to a dangerous planet along with the Supreme General of the Saiyan Army, Nappa. King Vegeta knew Frieza had to be stopped and revolted with several of his most loyal men. However, they were no match for Frieza and were defeated effortlessly. Around this time Frieza realizes how much stronger the Saiyans are becoming, and their great potential. Out of fear Frieza blos up the entire Planet Vegeta with a single energy blast from his finger.

Moments before Planet Vegeta explodes, a ship with a low level Saiyan baby flies by to Earth. This baby's name is Kakarot. As Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta, he gets careless and doesn't notice this ship go by. However, an even stronger being lurks in the background watching, and this being is Frieza's brother. Although he notices the ship, decides to let Frieza clean up his own mess.

When the Saiyan baby, Kakarot, lands on Earth, he is found by an old man named Gohan. Even though Kakarot is a baby, he has strength that could easily kill an ordinary human. Gohan is a master of the Martial Arts and tries to raise the Saiyan baby, soon naming him Goku. Gohan drops Goku on his head from a great height. Fortunately, Goku lives, and even better, his Saiyan programming becomes scrambled. Goku trains hard and eventually has a son, who he names Gohan after his adoptive grandfather.

When several of Goku's friends are killed by two of the surviving Saiyans, he is forced to go to a planet called Namek for help. On this planet there are items called DragonBalls When all seven Dragon Balls are collected together, a Dragon god will appear and grant you three wishes. Unfortunately, Frieza is after the same items and already has five of them in his possession. To make things even worse, the prince of all Saiyans named Vegeta is also after the Dragon Balls.

After many battles, much destruction, and successfully gathering the Dragon Balls, Goku finally faces Frieza. When Goku is no match for the super villain he is forced to go to his last resort, and his most powerful attack. Goku nearly destroys the entire planet but Frieza survives with few wounds. Proving he cannot be beaten, Frieza kills Goku's best friend Krillin, and fatally wounds a close friend, named Piccolo. Seeing this happen enrages Goku so much that he undergoes a transformation legend of the Saiyans; a super Saiyan. While in this new level he grows far stronger than Frieza and easily defeats him. From then on Goku was a Super Saiyan.

Note: All of the information I have stated above about the Saiyans comes from FUNimation's American dubbed version, and is slightly different from the original Japanese version.

>>>>>>>>.SAIYANS GENEALOGY<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Here is where you can find out what sets the Saiyans apart from Humans. They look almost the same but have a few things that set them apart, Here you can find out about all those things that set them apart.

The Tail - A Saiyans tail may seem useless but is one of the biggest advantages in their race. Although when a weak Saiyan's tail is grabbed hard they lose all of their strength but the tail can be trained/strengthened so grabbing the tail does nothing at all. But the good thing about the tail is when a Saiyan sees a full moon they transform into a giant ape. This form is called Oozaru and makes the Saiyan 10x stronger than before. The only way to get back to their regular form is to cut off the Saiyans tail or just let the moon set OR if you wanted to you could blow up the moon. When the Saiyan is in Oozaru state they will cause constant havoc unless trained to control themselves. If a Saiyan's tail is removed then there is a chance it will grow back but usually when a Saiyan has stopped growing it will not. Each time a Saiyan has a baby with another race the chance of the baby having a tail goes down.

The Hair - Full blooded Saiyan hair will always retain its natural "pointy" look and a constant length, unless the Saiyan cuts his/her hair. However, a non-full blooded Saiyan will not pick up this gene. So for example if a Saiyan has a baby with a Human the baby will have hair like a Human. What I mean by that is the hair will grow and is not limited to the the Saiyan hair color (black). Besides that they still have that pointy look Saiyans do. If a Saiyan goes Super Saiyan their hair will go into a pointy state but when they power down, back to their normal state the hair will go back to how he/she had it. As you can see from the picture on the left Goku's hair changed only very slightly from the picture above it. This is because a different artist probably drew it. You may also think Goku's hair was bigger in the picture above but this is only because he "grew" into his hair so it appears slightly smaller when he is older.

Recovery - Most people know about the Saiyan's ability to gain great strength after being beaten up, but it is not ability unique to Saiyan's. Humans even possess this ability. When you lift weights for example, you are actually breaking the muscle fibers, which are then rebuilt bigger and stronger. The Saiyan's ability however seems to be much more potent, as they gain great strength from any beating, this accounts for why the Saiyan's power levels rise so much compared to the Namekians and Humans. Again this is also a genetic trait, it occurs in almost all life forms, and even the hybrid Saiyans acquire this skill, so it must be a dominant Saiyan gene. Overall the Saiyans are very genetically similar to humans, but after generations of fighting, and working for Frieza especially, has bred a very strong, proud race. Accentuating the already present unique Saiyan genetic characteristics.

Fighting - is a big part of the Saiyan race. They LOVE it. They will spend their entire lives trying to become stronger and trying to be the strongest in the universe. The Saiyans planet is 10x that of Earth's which gives them a nice home planet to train on. Fighting is in the Saiyan's blood, it's part of who they are; their race. Frieza knew this and enslaved the Saiyan race making them takeover planets and selling them off to the highest bidder. Eventually the Saiyans become too strong and Frieza was scared at how much stronger they may become. Frieza then destroyed the entire planet with a single attack. Only Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Broly, Paragas, Turles and Raditz survived. Goku, who happened to be a "low class" Saiyan so he was sent to a planet that he could conquer, but when Goku was a baby he was dropped on his head thus Goku lost all that info in his brain to destroy all life.

Transformations:

A genetic characteristic, which is buried deep within every Saiyan. Saiyan's transformations are triggered by extreme emotion. Like when we cry, tear ducts are activated by hormones sent by the brain. Same for the Saiyans, when they experience extreme emotion their brain sends a chemical message to "turn on" the Super Saiyan gene. The transformation only occurs however when the power level is high enough. Once the first transformation has happened the Saiyan can learn to make the transformation without extreme emotion. Just like actors can make themselves cry, without being upset. The Super Saiyan gene appears to be a very dominant gene, as even the 1/16 Saiyan, Goku Jr could go SSJ. But if the child is conceived before the parent goes SSJ, they will have to turn on their gene in the normal way. If the Saiyan has already gone SSJ it causes a change in the DNA that allows the Saiyan to go SSJ much easier.

ALL CHARACTES OF DBZ

Aerobics Women:
She appears on TV all throughout the Dragonball series mostly at Kame House. This is Master-Roshi's favorite TV show and watches whenever he is able.
Agent Purple (Ninja Murasaki):

Akane Kimidori:
One of the main characters from Dr. Slump, Akane is one of Arale's best friends. She spends most of her time hanging out, playing pranks or getting into trouble. Her boyfriend is Tsuku-tsun and her sister is Aoi Kimidori. She shows up with the rest of the Dr. Slump character briefly in Dragonball.
Akira Toriyama:
The genius who created Dragonball! Toriyama actually makes a few appearances in the DB and DBZ Manga, showing up in volumes 1 and 42, but each time in the form known as Tori-Bot, which you can see in the image on the left.
Akuman (Devil Man, Akkuman) :
Akuman is Baba's right hand man. He is also a former two time champion of the Tenkaichi Budoukai. He squares off against Goku when Goku is trying to get his fortune told.

Alien Announcer (Afterlife Tournament Announcer):
This mushroom headed alien is the Announcer for the Other World Tournaments. He is very similar to the announcer on Earth not counting looks of course.

Alligator:
An alligator who likes to sunbathe in a hammock on Kame Island. In Dragonball, he points out Master-Roshi to Mai and Shu when they show up looking for him.

Almond (Amondo):
Almond is one of the members of Turles' force in DBZ Movie #3. He squares off against Krillin, before being taken out later by Goku.
Android #8:
This is the first android that we see in the series. He hates to fight and becomes a good guy when he meets Goku and helps him defeat the RRA.

Android #13:
The main villain of DBZ Movie #7. He and Androids #14 and #15 are programed by Dr. Gero's computer after Dr. Gero is killed by #17. Android #13 is the one who faces Goku. While #14 and #15 face Trunks and Vegeta. After #14 and #15 are defeated, Android #13 absorbs their power cell and CPUs, becoming the huge, blue Super Android #13. He is only defeated when SSJ Goku absorbs his own Genki Dama.
Android #14:
This huge, muscular android is one of the androids who is set out to kill Goku in DBZ Movie #7. He eventually sliced in two by Trunks' sword.
Android #15:
This small, whisky drinking android is one of the androids who set out to kill Goku in DBZ Movie #7. He eventually is decapitated by Vegeta.
Android #16:
#16 was an experimental android built by Dr. Gero. Unlike #17 and #18 he is completely mechanical, and he is more powerful than them. He dislikes fighting and cares for life. He tries to save Gohan by destroying Cell. But as Bulma removes his explosives, it fails. When Cell destroys him, it causes Gohan to achieve SSJ2.
Android #17:
#17 is created for one reason: to kill Goku. He was originally human, but was made part android by Dr. Gero. When Gero activates #17 he promptly decapitates him. He is eventually absorbed by Cell, but is brought back to life by the Dragonballs.
Android #17 [From Another Timeline]:
Similar to his counterpart of the past (the present dimension, for the while), he has the same adventure-seeking attitude of present day Android 17, yet he seems to have more of a lust for blood. He enjoys destroying city buildings and likes to drag race air cars over pedestrians for fun. He is killed by Future Trunks.
Android #18:
#18 was ment to kill Goku but become a good guy after she was spat up from Cell after he absorbed her. She is also #17's twin sister. During the Cell Saga Krillin falls madly in love with her. They eventually marry and have a daughter named Marron.
Android #18 [From Another Timeline]:
Much like Number 18 of the present dimension, she has the same vain attitude and apathy for her brother's reckless habits. And then, she has her violent side, one far worse than that of her past counterpart.
Android #19:
#19 is created as the servant and bodyguard of Dr. Gero. He isn't very strong, and is certainly no match for the Super Saiyans. However he can absorb energy into his own body. He needs to do this often as his internal batteries run down quick.
Android #20 (Dr. Gero):
After Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon Army, a single scientist was left. This was Dr. Gero who vowed to one day have his revenge on Goku. He began to fear his death was near and had his brain transplanted into Android #20's body. Like #19 he can absorb energy.

Android #21 (Cell):
The most dangerous of all Dr. Gero's creations, Cell, was created in Dr. Gero's lab as a genetic experiment. He comes complete with a self-destruct feature, a scorpion-like tail that opens up to absorb the energy of his opponents, and instructions to wreak revenge on the Androids which caused Dr. Gero's downfall. Cell contains the DNA of the mightiest warriors of the universe including Goku, Piccolo and Vegeta. Possessing the DNA of these great warriors, Cell is able to fight with their attacks. With these great forces combined Cell is an almost invincible being. One of his greatest advantages is being able to regenerate himself at any given time from even the smallest component of himself. We discover this in Dragon Ball Z when the good guys believe Cell is destroyed, only to find out that a brain cell has survived. From this cell, Cell regenerates himself and appears out of nowhere once again threatening Earth. One of Cell's only weak points is that his energy is finite. He gains power by draining the energy of his enemies using his scorpion-like tail to do so. Cell has three forms: the imperfect form in which we first see him, the second stage of Cell, and the final or Perfect Cell. He reaches Cell Stage Two after absorbing Android 17. When Android 18 is consumed, Cell changes into his third and most powerful form: Perfect Cell. Cell can and does create smaller versions of himself. Cell eventually dies from a one handed Kamehameha done by a very injured Gohan, and a little help from Vegeta.

Angela:
This is one of Gohan's classmates at Orange Star High School. She develops a crush on Gohan, and also finds out a secret of his. Gohan believes she knows he is the Great Saiyaman, so he goes on a date with her, so she will keep the secret. But the only thing she knows is that he wears teddy bear underwear! They break up soon after.

Angira:
This is one of Lord Slug's henchmen from DBZ Movie #4. He is killed by decapitation when Goku reflects Angira's own Ki attack back at him.
Annin:
Annin is the female guardian of the Furnace of Eight Divisions, which is at a border between this world and the afterlife.
Announcer:

Frieza's greatest fear was the Saiyan race, not only because they were the strongest species he had ever encountered by far in all the universe, but he also feared them because of an ancient legend among their people. Because the Saiyan race was already so powerful and great in number, Frieza could not believe how powerful a Super Saiyan might be, and so this is why he decides to destroy their planet. It was said that every few thousand years or so, a super-powerful Saiyan was born to their people, the legendary Super Saiyan. After he hears about the Dragon Balls, he travels to Planet Namek in order to wish for immortality. When he is on Namek he encounters Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin. He has several forms in order to conserve energy, and rarely uses his true form. We see all of Frieza's transformations and he is forced to go to his highest level in order to beat the Saiyans. After a long battle, he is defeated, but not killed, by Goku. His father (King Cold) finds him, nearly dead, floating near the remains of Planet Namek and takes him back to his planet in order to save him. However, Kami, who had by now split away from his evil half, defeated him and, according to Kami, Garlic was cast into the realm of darkness, a negative space from which he would never return.

In Rilldo's second form he absorbs the Sigma Force Cannon and is now about equal with Goku once again. He still can't beat Goku so he transforms again. In this form he can now become one with metal and considering the whole planet is made of metal this makes him very strong. Eventually he is killed by Goku but it takes some time since Rilldo knows all of Goku's moves and Goku knows almost none of Rilldo's. This happens because Giru has been hanging around Goku for some time now and when Giru pretends to go on Rilldo's side he shows Rilldo all of Goku's moves. Gogeta:
One of the most powerful characters in all of Dragonball/Z/GT, Gogeta is the result of the fusion between Goku and Vegeta. Gogeta appears only in DBZ Movie 12, and in GT. Done by the fusion dance Gogeta is many times more powerful than either Goku or Vegeta alone. Gogeta is a totally different person, and so his personality is completely different than either of the two Saiyan's that fused to become him. Gogeta's power is simply enormous as he takes out Janemba effortlessly in DBZ Movie 12 after reaching Super Saiyan 2. By GT, his power is almost beyond comprehension as Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta fuse to create Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, probably the most powerful character in the entire history of the series. His special attack is Big Bang Kamehameha. The only reason that Gogeta does not completely obliterate Omega Shenron is because of his own cockiness. Gogeta toys with the Dragon but happens to defuse early because of his enormous power.

Gohan:
Goku and Chi Chi's first son, named after Goku's adoptive grandfather Gohan. In early DBZ, Gohan is put through events that would traumatize any little kid. One day, he's kidnapped by his uncle Raditz, and watches as a furious battle ensues between Goku, Piccolo and his uncle. When Raditz proves his superiority in power, Gohan's anger explodes and he manages to seriously injure Raditz, which neither Goku nor Piccolo had been able to do. After Goku's & Raditz death, Piccolo leaves Gohan in the wilderness to train. Gohan is forced to grow up quickly, he becomes attached to Piccolo, his teacher, and idolizes him. When Gohan's Saiyan power becomes mixed with his human emotions, he is able to summon an unbelievable amount of power. This power is released when Gohan becomes extremely angry. When Cell learns of this he purposely pushes Gohan until he finally explodes with rage and then goes SSJ2, the first person to ever reach this stage. With a broken arm, Gohan kills Cell using a one-handed Kamehameha. Gohan is the only Saiyan to become Mystic, which is a special ability granted by Old Kai that allows Gohan access to his highest power level without having to go Super Saiyan at all. Gohan meets Videl in high school, who suspects that something is fishy about the Great Saiyaman. They become good friends after she catches him in costume without the mask, and he teaches her how to fly. They fall in love, and at the end of DBZ, they have a daughter named Pan. Akira Toriyama originally wanted Gohan to become the main character, of the series, but the fans wanted Goku back, so Toriyama drifted away from Gohan to focus more on his father again. After the Buu Saga, Gohan gives up fighting and finally achieves his mother's dream for him to become a scholar. Throughout GT, he fights from time to time, but he generally remains a glasses-wearing nerd.

Goku (Gokuh, Gokou, Son Goku, Kakarot, Kakarotto):
Taught martial arts by his adoptive grandfather, Gohan, who raised him out in the wilderness. He is extremely strong, agile, and virtually fearless. He'll take on any fight no matter what the odds are if he thinks that someone has been wronged, and he'll usually win. When the Saiyans arrive on Earth, Goku learns the mysterious secret of his own past: he is a Saiyan named Kakarot. Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to grow up and destroy the planet, but a head injury as a child scrambled Goku's programming. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-warrior, he became innocent and pure of heart, fighting for good. Goku is peaceful, good natured, honest, loving to his family and friends, loyal, trustworthy, and brave. If he has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. He always finds the "good" in people when others don't see it, though Goku's enemies sometimes take advantage of his naive trust. He trained under Master Roshi and wears his symbol until he trains under King Kai, whose symbol he wears on the back but keeps Roshi's on the front. Goku marries Chi-Chi, and Together they have two sons: Gohan and Goten. When Cell blows himself up in hopes to destroy Earth Goku uses his instant transmission technique to transport them both to King Kai's place killing Goku along with King Kai but unfortunately not Cell. Gohan eventually kills Cell but Goku decides to stay in Other World and train. There Goku surpasses Super Saiyan 2 and reaches Super Saiyan 3. He one day visits Earth for a tournament but is told by Supreme Kai about Buu who he then battles. When Goku's 1 day limit is up he is forced to return to Other World but to his great surprise finds Gohan is in fact alive and training in secret with Supreme Kai. Eventually Goku beats Buu and comes back to live on Earth and in GT he reaches the great level of SSJ4.

Despite the little amount of Saiyan blood Goku Junior carries he can still go Super Saiyan.

Goten:
The second child of Goku and Chi-Chi, Goten is born in 767 AD. Goten resembles his father very much, and their facial features are almost identical. By the time Goten is born, his father has already died in the Cell Saga, and so Goten never gets to know his father until about the age of 7 or 8 when Goku returns to Earth for a day for a World Tournament, which is the day that the two first meet in a brief but touching scene. Goten turns Super Saiyan at a much younger age than his brother Gohan or his father. Goten is famous for his mispronunciation of his father's move, as "Kamekameha!". Aside from that, Goten has only one other attack which he calls "Totsugeki", which translates literally to "Attack!". We see Goten gown up in the very last couple of episode in Dragonball Z and all of Dragonball GT. When he's grown up he doesn't really resemble Goku like he used to and isn't really as much of a fighter anymore. He was originally supposed to go with Trunks and Goku on the search for the Black Star Dragon Balls in DBGT. But was left behind when Pan snuck aboard. When Baby comes to Earth he is among the first to be put under his control.

Gotenks:
One of the most powerful characters in all of DBZ, Gotenks is the fusion result of Trunks and Goten. Goku and Piccolo teach Goten and Trunks the fusion dance, a technique used to become a warrior many times more powerful than either person performing the dance. Gotenks is a completely different person, and so his personality is totally different than either boy who fused to create him. Gotenks' power is fantastic, and he is one of only two characters that have ever achieved SSJ3. He fights Majin Buu twice. The first time Gotenks loses pitifully, The 2nd time they face off is the famous battle which begins in the Time Chamber, then expands to Kami's Palace (which is completely demolished) and finally ends on Earth. At SSJ3, Gotenks can easily defeat Buu, and he knows it. But instead of taking him out, Gotenks' cockiness gets the better of him and he toys with Buu. Unfortunately, he defuses before he can destroy Buu. We almost see Gotenks in GT but Goku says it no use to fuse because of how much stronger the enemies are. Instead Goku just asks for them to hand over their energy.

Goku meets Goz and Mez when he accidentally falls off Snakeway.

A skilled fighter himself and once trained under Master Roshi, Gohan did his best to instill virtue into his young grandson, often challenging him with difficult tasks. When Goku transforms into Oozaru he crushes Gohan and when Goku goes back to normal to find his Grandpa was killed Goku believes his spirit lives on in the 4-Star Dragon Ball.

But of course Goku eventually knocks Gregory on the head with the mallet and then begins the next step of King Kai's training.

Gyuu Maou (Gyu Mao, Ox-King):
Despite his threatening sounding name, Gyuu Maou is really quite harmless and fun loving. He was slightly peeved when his castle became engulfed in flames on Mount Frypan and wreaked havoc through the village at the foot of the mountain, but hey, whaddya gonna do? He's Chichi's father and thus Goku's father-in-law. He's very strong And trained along-side Gohan under Muten Roshi's tutelage. As the series he becomes less and less of an important character, and eventually just fades into being background filler. In the anime, he has a few large roles though from time to time.

Hasky:
Hasky is a master thief who is occasionally employed by the Red Ribbon Army. She has made a career out of doing the impossible. After she accepts a job, her abilities are such that not even the tightest security can stop her from making off with her prize. Once more, she has accepted a lucrative, lofty assignment from Commander Red: steal the Dragon Balls and get rid of Goku!

Hatchan (English: Android 8, 8ter):
Dr. Gero's first "successful" creation, (although there was a huge plot hole in the anime that said Dr. Frappe invented him). Android 8 is ordered to kill Goku after he takes on the Red Ribbon Army, but he refuses because he does not like to fight. Android 8 is quite powerful, but he also possesses a conscience. He befriends Goku who gives him a new name, 8ter. After the Red Ribbon Army is defeated, 8ter goes to live a peaceful life with Snow.

Hatchiyack:
Hatchiyack is one of the main villains for the fabeled 'lost Dragonball movie' otherwise known as OVA's #1 and #2. This is not an official movie, and is rather hard to get. The Japanese name is 'The plan to destroy the Saiyans'. If you don't want the ending spoiled you better not read this. The super computer that was collecting all the hate energy toward the Saiyans materializes into a being of mass power. Apparently, the hate that Dr. Raiichi had was so great it caused the computer to become alive and ironically it is 10x stronger than Broly was. From this point on the super computer known as Hatchiyack gives all the Z fighters a major beating. Luckily, after about 15 minutes of getting beaten to a pulp, Goku learns that Hatchiyack has a weakness that can be used against him. Apparently, Hatchiyack only fires his energy blast after 15 seconds, so Goku starts to power up his Chou Kamehameha while the others power up their final attacks (Trunks' Burning Attack, Gohan's Masenko and Vegeta's Big Bang Attack) and fire all their attacks at the count of 15. With Hatchiyack finally defeated the Earth is, once again, saved from a terrible threat.

He is the "World's Martial Art's Champion", although there are much stronger people than Mr. Satan, he seems to win the tournaments by luck and get credit for killing Cell and other villains. Mr. Satan is good friends with Majin Buu, although when their puppy gets injured, Majin Buu goes bad. Mr. Satan's daughter, Videl was trained by Gohan and is a lot stronger than Mr. Satan and he seems to hide his weakness during a fight and makes up some excuse to make everyone like him.

High King Niko-Chan:
A creature resembling a green butt with a face and antenna who is stranded in Penguin Village along with his servant. In his spare time he either attempts to conquer the Earth, or simply builds a spaceship in order to get back to his home planet. Though his servant is bright, Niko-chan himself is a bumbling idiot. In the Dragonball Manga, he appears briefly giving the victory sign, although his part is bigger in the anime series.

A rare near-extinct bird that dwells in volcanoes (this bird happens to eat flames), whose feathers must be used to create the Bansho Fan. Goku and Chi-Chi needed one to put out the fires on Mount Frypan.
Hildegarn (Hiredugarn):
In DBZ Movie #13, the story is told that he devastated the home planet of the movie's heroes, Tapion and Minosha, nearly exterminating their race. Since Tapion's people lacked the power to destroy Hildegarn, they used a magical song, played by Tapion on his ocarina, to temporarily control Hildegarn and split him into two etheric halves. When this was done, they sealed Hildegarn's top half into Tapion and his lower half into Tapion's brother Minosha. In Movie 13, the box which contains all of this is opened on Earth, thus releasing Tapion and allowing for Hildegarn's great escape. In the end, Hildegarn is killed when Goku debuts his awesome Dragon Fist attack.
Hire Dragon (FUNimation: Icarus):
A little purple dragon that first appears in DBZ Movie 3, where he befriends Gohan after the boy rescues him from a forest fire. In the Japanese and original Pioneer dub of the movie, the dragon is simply called Haiya Dragon, but later the FUNimation dub changes the name to Icarus for some reason. The dragon also appears in Movies 4 and 5, and even in the anime series during the Garlic Junior Saga. Commonly associated with Gohan, Haiya Dragon is usually portrayed with Gohan riding his back.
Hitler:
I bet this is the first Dragonball character biographies that has this guy included. In DBZ movie #12 a demon lord called Janemba releases all the evil of the afterlife. In the movie you'll see Trunks and Goten battle (and defeat) Hitler and his army.
Hoi:
One of the Black magicians responsible for the creation of Hiredugarn, Hoi traveled to earth in the thirteenth movie in search for the other half of his creation. His intentions were to make Hiredugarn whole again so he would wreak havoc throughout the universe. Hoi is eventually killed by his creation upon becoming whole.
Human Gunman :
During the time when Buu is starting to settle down with Mr. Satan, a very sick individual stops caring about life and goes around killing people for sport. This idiot and his partner are basically responsible for the creation of Super Buu. They chance upon Buu while he's playing catch with Bee and shoot the puppy. Mr. Satan locates the two and beats them up, then goes back to Buu who heals the puppy instantly. But then the idiot returns and shoots Mr. Satan through the chest. Buu heals Satan, but his anger explodes and Evil Buu is released from his anger. Luckily this guy has a pleasing death. Evil Buu blasts him into a million pieces with a point-blank ki blast.
Human Gunman's Associate:
A fat British-looking bloke who occasionally picks off people with his buddy. Fortunately, he has one of the most horrible deaths in DBZ. Buu liquefies and shoots himself down the guy's throat, then expands, turning him into human confetti.

Idarsa:
A rude kid who was scheduled to fight Trunks in the 25th World Tournament in the children's division. He didn't have a fighting

II Shenron (Il Shenron [Syn Shenron]):
Syn is the ultimate evil power in the universe. Syn was born with the combination of all the evil energy given out by the corroded Dragon balls making him the strongest of the dragons. Syn eventually absorbs all 7 Dragon Balls to become the awesome Omega Shenron giving him the powers of every Shadow Dragon. The Dragon Balls were used to restore life, but Syn has only one goal...the destruction of all life in the universe! Dragon of the 1 star ball.

Ikose:
Just like his brother Idarsa, Ikose thought he was a lot better than he really was. As Goten's opponent in the youth division, Ikose was defeated with little effort from Goten.

Invisible Man:
The second of Baba's five fighters, the Invisible Man was taken on by Yamcha. Without being able to see him, Yamcha was getting beat pretty badly. With a great idea, Krillin got Bulma and Roshi to stand in certain spots and then pulled Bulma's top off. After Roshi shoots blood out of his nose, as he does any time he sees nudity, the blood covered the Invisible Man and allowed Yamcha to see him.

Jackie Chun:
This is Master Roshi's disguised name when he enters a tournament. He does this so his students see there are stronger fighters out there and so it encourages his students to train harder than ever before.

Jaga Bada:
A "villain" from DBZ Movie 11 who wants revenge on his old class-mate Mr. Satan for beating him in martial arts when he was a kid. He funds experiments that create Bio Warriors, including Bio Broly. On the left Dr. Kori ("Kori Hakase"), a scientist from who assists in the creation of Bio Broly.

Janemba:
The villain of movie #12, Janemba starts as a very playful fat apparition. This seemingly harmless form becomes a smaller red-colored demon with a nasty sword. He takes fighting more seriously and loses his jestful nature. Janemba is incredibly powerful, and neither Goku nor Vegeta can beat him at full strength.

Jeice (Jisu):
Jeice one of stronger members of the Ginyu Force is neither super fast or super powerful. Instead, Jeice is a more balanced combination of strength and speed, which makes him very dangerous. He's eventually killed by Vegeta.

He originally trained Goku and Krillin when they were young boys. The first earthling to ever understand how to nurture and control the Power of Light, Roshi trains Goku and Krillin in its use. It was Master Roshi who taught Goku the Kamehameha attack. Master Roshi's Rival is the Crane Elder.

However, his evil side formed into a demon named Piccolo Daimoa, to whom Kami had a spiritual link; if one died, the other would die as well. When Goku killed Piccolo Daimoa, Kami survived because Piccolo created an offspring before he died. Eventually Piccolo becomes good merges back together with Kami during the Cell Saga so he can defeat the Androids.

East Kaioshin's assistant, Kibito comes to earth with his master to help stop Babidi. He is killed by Dabura, but is resurrected later by Shenron. He eventually fuses with Supreme Kai to demonstrate to Goku the power of the potara earrings.

Kibito Kai:
When Elder Kai asked the Supreme Kai and Kibito to try on the Potara Earrings, they had no idea they would be permanently stuck together. However, it proves to work out well, as now the Supreme Kai gains Kibito's transportation and healing powers, which come in very handy at the end of DBZ and in DBGT.

Kid Buu:
This is Buu's true form. After Goku and Vegeta removed every one Buu had absorbed he returned to his original form. He now has nothing to hold back his true evil power, and he is far stronger than even Super Saiyan 3 Goku. Eventually when Goku has nothing left to do he uses his ultimate Spirit Bomb. When Kid Buu was killed Goku wished for him to be brought back to life as a good guy thus we see Uub.

Kid Gamera:
This is one of Akira Toriyama's jokes. You see, Gamera is a giant turtle from outer space with two rockets coming out of his butt that he uses to fly around with. Yes, it's a Japanese monster movie, and obviously Akira Toriyama is a bit of a fan. Since Muten Roshi doesn't fly, and lost the Kintoun ('Nimbus') to Goku, (which he couldn't ride anyway) and sometimes needs to get places fast, he calls in Kid Gamera. It's a little mini version of Gamera that Muten Roshi can fly around on. Now, the thing about Gamera is that when he flies, he spins around in circles, so does kid Gamera. So when Muten Roshi utilizes this mode of transportation, whenever he gets off, he immediately vomits. Obviously, it's not a very popular way of getting around.

Kilah (Killer):
A big black dude who participates in the Battle Royale at the end of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He's K.O.'ed by Mighty Mask (Goten and Trunks). His role is minimal in the Manga, but in the anime he has some plot-developing flashbacks.

King Chapa:
He's one of the contenders in the 21st Tenkaichi, defeated by Goku. He is the first user of the Hasshuken technique (8 hands attack)

King Cold :
Father of Frieza and Cooler. He is only seen in the 2nd form & if he can go beyond that or not we just don't know. Most likely he cannot or he would have when he fought Trunks. King Cold salvages Frieza's living remains from space and makes his scientists rebuild his son as a cyborg. The two venture to Earth with plans to destroy Goku's home planet, but their scheme is foiled by the appearance of Trunks. After watching Trunks kill his son and cut him to pieces, King Cold offers the Saiyan an opportunity to replace Frieza and conquer the galaxy with him. This statement is almost certainly a lie, considering King Cold had asked to see Trunks' sword moments before. Trunks kills King Cold minutes later.

King Moai:
This is the evil king of the Planet Arlia. He took over rule of the planet by force and made everyone take care of his greedy needs. After Vegeta kills Iedei, he kills the king by shooting a rock through his chest.

Later in the series, Goku teleports a self-destructive Cell onto North Kai's planet, which blows up North Kai's planet and kills Goku and North Kai and his pets.

King of the World:
This small walrus/dog like animal is the King of the World. He shows up mainly in DB when King Piccolo assaults his castle. He is one of the few people that knows Goku is a hero. He shows up again in DBZ when Nappa and Vegeta attack, and also in DBGT when he helps with the evacuation of the citizens of Earth to the Planet Plant.

King Vegeta:
The king of all Saiyans and the father of Vegeta. He is probably the strongest Saiyan in his time but is definitely seen as the strongest Saiyan. King Vegeta realizes that Frieza has no further use of the Saiyans and no longer needs them around. After trying to attack and kill Frieza, King Vegeta is killed with a single blast.

King Yemma:

Kirano:

The brother of Frieza, he watched Frieza destroy planet Vegeta. After Frieza was defeated he went to earth seeking revenge against Goku. Cooler like his brother can transform. Unlike his Brother Cooler can transform one step further. Unfortunately for Cooler this wasn't enough to beat Goku and was thrown into the sun by Goku. In movie 6 he tried to take over planet Namek by merging with an alien ship. He fails of course and is killed by Goku this time for good.

Korin (Karin-sama):
Grower of the powerful Senzu Beans, Karin lives in a tower just below Kami's palace. He is very wise and is also the protector of the sacred and holy waters. Karin trains Goku during the Tao Pai Pai fight, although Goku didn't know it at the time. He doesn't make big appearances in Z or GT, but he always comes through with Senzu Beans.

Kui (Cui):
A long time rival of Vegeta's, Kui shows up on Planet Namek hoping to settle the score between himself and the Saiyan prince. However he is tricked into thinking he can win by Vegeta's new trick of altering his power level, and he is quickly dispatched by Vegeta.

Krillin (Kuririn or Krillen):
Krillin is Goku's best friend & was born a year before Goku. He received the 6 dots on his forehead when he joined the monks of the Orinji Temple. Small scars are burned into the foreheads of each member. Krillin first meets Goku in Dragonball, where they are rivals who both seek the training of Master Roshi. They eventually learn to work together & become best friends. His fav. attacks are Destructo Disk, Tri-form, Kamehameha, and Solar Flare. Krillin is killed by one of King Piccolo's spawns in DB. But is later brought back to life with a wish using the Dragon Balls. In DBZ, Krillin ventures with Bulma and Gohan to Namek so they can make a wish with the Namekian Dragon Balls. Once there, he receives a power-up from Guru, and manages to survive until the late Frieza Saga when he is blown up by Frieza. Krillin's death triggers Goku to go Super Saiyan. At the end of the Frieza Saga, he is again wished back to life, this time with the Namekian Dragon Balls. Years later, Krillin marries Android 18, and together they have a daughter named Marron. During the years between the Cell Saga and the Buu Saga, Krillin decides to stop shaving his hair. He is turned to stone by Dabura for several episodes, but at the death of Dabura, Krillin is restored. He dies along with the entire human race when Buu destroys Earth, and is brought back with a wish on the Namek Dragonballs. In GT, his characters importance wanes even further. However, Krillin dies for the fourth time when Android 17 attacks him while he and Number 18 are out shopping. Again, he brought back later with a wish. Because he dies and receives severe bodily injuries many more times than any other character in the series, Krillin is indubitably the unluckiest character in Dragonball. The 4th picture of Krillin is what he looks like in Dragonball GT. As you can tell by the image he has gotten pretty old. He never really "quits" fighting but he knows he is nothing compared to Super Saiyans so that's probably why he isn't seen trying to attack things like the Shadow Dragons. Either Krillin or Tien is the strongest human in existence but which one is never truly said. In my opinion Tien is stronger but I there's people out there that would disagree. But then again people might think Yamcha is stronger.....

Kyo Jin:
A HUGE competitor from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai. He faces Krillin in the elimination rounds, and calls him "Baby octopus head", to which Krillin responds by grapping Kyo Jin by the finger and tossing him into a brick wall.
Kyoryu:
Kyoryu is a Dinosaur that is seen a lot during Gohan's training. During his training, Gohan uses Kyoryu as a training exercise and also as a food source. That poor, poor Dinosaur. Don't worry, he doesn't die. Gohan just takes food from his tail.

Launch (Lunch/Ranchi):
A girl with the ability to change personalities and looks when she sneezed, Lunch was a sweat, lovable girl in one form and a mean, machine-gun wielding gangster in the other. Her change comes in handy during the Budoukai's when she would clear the crowd and allow her friends to get up front. She's a very good cook and also falls in love with Tenshinhan. Lunch makes quite a few appearances in the original series, but very few in the two others.

When even his very strong bodyguard Lezik is defeated by Goku, the tyrant is obliged to give up and bring back everything which Imegga inhabitants have had stolen.

Lord Frieza (Freezer or Furiza or Freeza):
As the strongest being in the universe during his time, Frieza is solely responsible for the destruction of Planet Vegeta along with almost all of the Saiyan race. He and his armies purge planets of life, and sell them to the highest bidders, or he may just blow it up. Frieza sees himself as the most powerful being in the universe, with no equal. After being restored with robotic parts, Frieza and his father travel to earth to exact revenge on the Saiyan that beat him and it is there that Frieza finally meets his end by the blade of Trunk's sword. After Frieza is killed King Cold trys to recruit Trunks to work alongside King Cold as partners. Trunks obviously refuses and kills King Cold easily.

Lucifer:
Resembling a vampire, Lucifer attempts to destroy the sun in the second Dragon Ball movie. His plans to create an Earth of total darkness were foiled when Goku fires a Kamehameha that moves the position of his laser cannon and fires it right at Lucifer, killing him.

Luud (Lude) :
An idol for some, a machine for others, but for Goku, Pan, and Trunks, it might just be their final resting place! The leaders of the Luud cult sacrifice anyone who disobeys them by turning their bodies into dolls and feeding them to Luud. Luud absorbs their energy into his own, and with enough energy it is believed it will come to life.

Mai:
A woman who works for Emperor Pilaf. Together, Mai and her teammate Shu carry out the work of their ambitious Emperor, who is both short of stature and temper. Mai is definitely the brighter of the two, but even she manages to bungle things, particularly when Goku and crew become involved.

He is in his Evil Buu form very briefly before transforming to Super Buu. Child-like, Majin Buu does not have a strongly developed sense of good and bad. He agrees to stop hurting people when he discovers it bothers Hercule. Unfortunately the threat to Earth is not over. For from Majin Buu, Evil Buu emerges. Man Wolf :
Man Wolf is the first opponent of Jackie Chun at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai. He is a wolf that turns into a man at the full moon. He hates Jackie Chun because since Jackie destroyed the moon, Man Wolf has been stuck as a wolf, and he can't be with pretty girls. Jackie Chun defeats him with ease, then permanently turns him into a man by hypnotizing him into thinking Krillin's head is the full moon.

Mariko (Maraikoh):

He originally trained Goku and Krillin when they were young boys. The first earthling to ever understand how to nurture and control the Power of Light, Roshi trains Goku and Krillin in its use. It was Master Roshi who taught Goku the Kamehameha attack. Master Roshi's Rival is the Crane Elder.
Master Shen (Crane Hermit/Elder):
Tsuru Sennin means "Crane Hermit," as opposed to Kame Sennin, or "Turtle Hermit" (Master Roshi). The Crane Elder trained alongside Master Roshi at Mutaito's martial arts school. Flaws in the Metal Coolers are instantly corrected when they are found, making each robot a very formidable opponent.

His past is never fully revealed, but through the course of several adventures he becomes best friends with Chiaotzu. He faces off against Goku in the finals of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai, Tien wins but only but only barely and sort of by luck. Tien stays loyally by the side of Chiaotzu, his travel companion and sparring partner, and his closest friend. He has many moves that the others picked up from him and used in battle. Some examples of these are Solar Flare and the Tri-Form technique. However, unlike the others, Tien masters the Tri-Form technique and expands on it until he creates multiple forms of himself, sometimes 4 or more. Right as Bardock is being killed by Frieza he sees that his son Kakarot (Goku) is the one to finally destroy Frieza.

Torbie:
From the South Quadrant of the Other World, Torbie goes up against Tapikar and doesn't even have to lift a finger to claim his victory. Tapikar wore himself out parading around the ring as fast as he could until he was so tired that he chose to give up. Torbie next fights Pikkon. Although Torbie isn't weak he doesn't have a chance against Pikkon.

Totepo (Borgos):
The big, burly member of Bardock's team in the Bardock Special. He is another one of the strong, silent type. In fact, he never speaks a word in the entire movie! However, in the dubbed version, FUNi gives him one or two phrases for some odd reason.

However, Turles knew that he was going to be beaten when Goku used Kaio-Ken x2 so Turles ate only one bite of the fruit from the Tree of Might.
